Susan and colleagues Darlene Davis Sveinson (physical education instructor, certified Yoga instructor, artist) and Dona Watts-Hutchings (physiotherapist, Stott certified Pilates instructor, choreographer) work together to put on a fantastic one to two day program that will inspire you to live a better life!
Motivating Your Metabolism:
Confused about how to begin with exercise? Tired of weight loss gimmicks that don’t work? This session will get you going in the right direction with a focus on exercise prescription. Susan will explain the basics behind metabolism and teach you the fundamentals of effective exercise that you can do in the least amount of time. Make the commitment to look after yourself!

Stretch and Relax:
Need to learn how to de-stress? Want to improve your flexibility and decrease your chances of injury? Stretch and relax is a combination class offering effective stretching techniques for your entire body followed by relaxation including breathing and meditation.

Shape Up:
Did you know that you don't have to spend hours in a gym to tone up your body? This session focuses on improving muscular strength and endurance by using a band as resistance. Help to prevent bone loss and learn some simple exercises to do at home (band sold separately).

Menopause and Exercise:
The average age of menopause has not changed over the years, however a woman's life expectancy has dramatically increased. Exercise can play an important role both throughout menopause and post-menopausal. Learn about some physiological and psychological benefits of exercise that are pertinent to this time in your life. Now is the time to improve your quality of life!

Better Backs:
Susan will teach you specific exercises to strengthen the muscles in your back and abdominal area and work towards decreasing back pain. Learn simple stretches you can do at home to help your back.

Inner Journey:
This is a wonderful introspective session that focuses on deepening the connection between your mind, body and spirit. Learn more about yourself through discussion, exercise as a release, restorative yoga and meditation. Take the time to nurture your soul!

Worldbeat:
This class offers movement, dance and martial arts for all fitness levels. Move to music from around the world and cool down with restorative yoga and stretch. This class ends with meditation, breathing and a thought for the day. No experience necessary, just an open mind!

Worldbeat Parents and Kids:
Bring your kids (any age) and move to the Worldbeat class together (see above class description)!

The Exercise Journal - Journal Your Way to Better Health and an Improved Quality of Life!
The Exercise Journal begins with the fundamentals of energy expenditure, metabolism and exercise prescription and follows up with the concept of quality of life and specific tips on how to improve your own personal wellness. There are numerous pages for daily journaling including time, type and intensity of exercise as well as emotions and daily feelings. Workshops, Lectures and Classes with Susan Simo M.Sc.

Book a workshop with Susan Simo M.Sc. Choose from the following current workshops or contact Susan if you have a specific idea or request for a workshop, lecture or fitness class.

Prices: All workshops and lectures are $150 per hour and $50 per each additional half hour. Worldbeat is a fitness class and is $75 per hour. One hour is the minimum time required for a workshop, lecture or class. Travel expenses and costs are also applicable and will be discussed at time of booking.
